3 Cunard Queens in Southampton!
When the three Queens met in New York we were told this would be the one and only time all three Queens would meet. However, Cunard have changed their plans for QE2's mini-refit. She will now be staying in Southampton.
This means that on Tuesday 22nd April 2008 QE2, QM2 and QV will all be in Southampton.
I am now trying to convince myselft it would be silly to book a day off work and do the 500 mile round trip to see them. (Not doing very well so far)

Stephen,
If I were you I would book 2 days off work( Mon & Tue) and make a long weekend out of it. That way the 500 mile round trip would be much more cost effective!

It is a long way to go but you have got me thinking  :)

Somehow, I think you will NOT convince yourself Stephen AND Alan :D that it is a silly idea :!: :!:
But, book transport early before the entire rest of England finds out and heads toward Southampton

No, as Terry says I would not dare
Well if Mum, Alan and I went by car, we could split the petrol cost between 3 so it would not work out too bad.

And if you need somewhere to stay we stopped at the Travel Lodge at Eastleigh last week £29 for the room, and it took about 20 minutes into West Quay.
I'm told John Lewis in West Quay do a good breakfast and you can see the ships from there! Nowhere to have breakfast was the one downside BTW, but very quiet and cheap!

John Lewis has a good view the Mayflower dock, but you need to go in M&S to see the QE2 and City Docks. We had hae breakfast in ASDA once or twice, which was good, but no view.

I did look at flying down, only takes 1 hour each way, but would cost £187.00! so soon crossed that off the list.
