AIS LIVE and Webcam Galveston, Texas Harbor
Here is a link to AIS Live of Galveston Harbor where the CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES, ROYAL CARIBBEAN INTERNATIONAL, and PRINCESS CRUISES arrive and depart on a regular schedule. http://vesseltrax.com/Texas_City_Harbor.html When the vessels are in port here is a link to the webcam http://www.galveston.com/webcams/harborhouse/frameset.html Regards, John P.S. For best results use the free web browser Mozilla Firefox (download here) http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ Or the new Internet Explorer 7 (download here). http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx With Internet Explorer 6 the loading takes a long time and there could be errors in the vessel display. Also use 1280 X 1024 screen resolution for your display monitor for best viewing results. Go to Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings and slide the horizontal slider to change the screen resolution. Hope that helps in case you are not obtaining good results.

Liz, Are you the same Liz where I see posts whith the Shipplotter Yahoo Group? This is my first time here and I just signed up. I live about 15 miles from the Galveston Cruise Terminal. I see you have plenty of cruise ship enthusiats here. So I thought I'd share the Galveston Harbor AIS link, where they can watch the many cruise ships arriving and departing Galveston Harbor. The web cam is really neat to. Craig from Shipplotter Group shared that with me and I thought I'd pass it on. Regards, John

These googlemap AIS websites are so great for those without the Shiplotter software :D (And it did take me forever and lot of help from all of you on the Yahoo forum to finally make it work for me  )

We all had to start from scratch in the beginning. Now all our efforts are bearing fruit in a productive and enjoyable manner where others can experience the wonders of the maritime trade in a unique interactive way through Google Maps and Shipplotter. John

Watermon (John), thanks for the links, and when you are browsing the 'General' forum - look under 'Welcome to our New Members'. There are some 'welcome aboard' messages there for you! :D I'll add mine here again and it's great to have a member from Shipplotters with us
