:D Still don't know exactly where we go in the Whitsundays? Excursion blurb says it is about a 45 minute "fast boat ride" from the "ship's anchorage" to Airlie Beach?????? We are planning to go to Daydream Island :D

BDAdaughter- 01-17-2007

This is from 2005

Liz- 01-17-2007

Amazing that you had that, Phyllis :D :D A unusual view of Roadtown from Symphony, today

Thanks for the great capture of Coles Bay Phyllis. The ship is in Hobart today. Here are 2 views, from her bridge and from Sapphires. The buildings look a lot bigger from PP's cam.She is docked today at Salamanca Wharf ,whereas Sapphire docks on the other side of the bay at the container facility. from Pacific Princess from Sapphire

Thanks for the Hobart captures David....hope we get to dock at Salamanca on PP :D I'd never heard of Coles Bay as a port of call either....looks nice. As for Whitsunday....we will be tendered, but where :?: Think the 45 min boat ride described in PP's shorex is to Shute Harbour and then those going to Airlie Beach will be on a coach from Shute to Airlie. Think we are dropped off at Daydream Island on the way into Shute Harbour, Liz ?

A still morning in the tranquil landscape setting of Port Chalmers,Dunedin,South Island,New Zealand.

BDAdaughter- 01-18-2007

One of my favorites of Port Chalmers

Liz- 01-18-2007

PERFECT :D :D :D

Kiwi Kruzer- 01-18-2007

Port Arthur,Tasmania. Not usual for a ship to anchor here.Saves the day trip from Hobart I guess. Not sure if the buildings on the shore are part of the Penal Colony or not. On your list Liz and Robyn?

robyn- 01-19-2007

Not on our list David....other plans for Hobart...all will be revealed :D

Dani- 01-19-2007

Oh come now, they are cute furry cuddly little critters

robyn- 01-19-2007

Actually....there has been a lot of talk about Tassie Devils lately...quite sad. They have had to remove a lot to Victoria and New South Wales to nurse back to health because of an unexplained virus which has decimated them. But then.....once upon a long, long time ago....they were on the 'mainland'. Here's a link - WARNING....don't read/look at this if you are a little bit squeamish! But...it does also contain some interesting facts about the TD http://www.abc.net.au/science/features/tassiedevil/default.htm

Liz- 01-19-2007

Not so bad at all "squeamish-wise" and very interesting and sad. Hope they find the answer to this :!:

tigersxm- 01-19-2007

Very sad indeed. Poor little devils! I hope the research will produce a solution to the problem.
