I love the way the ice just stops before reaching the water.
Looks almost unreal - as if a flood of water was stopped in its tracks.

I was in Iceland three years ago...October, a month AFTER tourist season ended. Noone but us. It was a group tour, not a cruise. Just loved it! But then, plate tectonics and volcanism fascinate me. Just wish we had had more time to shop. Other than all the pictures I took - my last pre-digital trip - my one souvenir is a gold charm of a Viking ship. CJ
