Just read last night on CND that, come fall, she will be based in Munbai again, but doing shorter cruises than last year,....mostly 2 and 3 nighters, with, for the "never-cruised-befores", some one-nights, too
Just a note to keep a look out re Pacific Princess. I picked this up a while ago from the blog of a cruiser on board her last cruise
I was just informed by the Captain this morning that on the next sailing on August 1st from Beijing to Bangkok for any of you reading my postings you will be treated with a onetime only stop in Ho Chi Minh city pier. The Pacific Princess will be making it's way all the way down the river into HCMC as a logistical -*test*-('") run for the company for planning purposes for 2008 possible revamped Asian season on the Pacific Princess. This will maximize your stay in HCMC as you will eliviate over 4 to 4.5 hours of driving time from the Uniflour port in Phu My. Very nice bonus for you people on that upcomming voyage K618.
She is due in Ho Chi Min City on Aug 12 (Vietnam time).May be worth a look providing it takes place.I think it would it would fascinating to cruise right up the Mekong into the City.Phu My is at the River mouth,where the delta meets the sea.
