...they all have a reason to be there ?
They wouldn't be able to tie up without it!!
Most ships we see have all that equipment
one deck down so its covered, and
protected from the weather.
Ahh, they need to be tied up !
Would not a few harpoon guns and grappling hooks do the trick ?

Here are two captures Phyllis got of Infinity through the Canal.Very unusual and also a great one of the bridge.
Excellent capture in the canal.
One for the canal authourity's photo gallery?
Yes, how do we submit it ? A link on their website ?
Should be Silver Wind, Phyllis

Maybe the guy on the bow got a "guarantee " cabin and it was outside....really outside !
Guarantee you are on the ship, not where on the ship.
Phyllis has done it again....great usual captures showing the working side of the canal.
See the little train that runs along beside the canal..doing some work to get the ship through.

She captured the aft...had a balcony there on our cruise..wonderful

Hope that guy on the bow...does not jump !
Watching Pacific Princess dock and depart, she also a crew member stationed on the bow.
Wonder if all the "R" ships do that?
Is just an over cautious Captain who does not want to bump anything?
Do all ships do this and we just don't notice?
Calypso always had people forward...

He was actually watching the anchor going down and directing the sailor to let out more chain...CJ
