Oh my GOSH, another one :D :D :D :D What ship :?: :?:

Thanks for your kind comments Alan I really enjoyed your company and soon felt that we had always known each other. Cruising in gale force 10 is a bit like having a baby once the weather calms down you forget how bad it was. Oslo is a lovely place and very clean it is also easy to get about and feels very safe. We had fun with the stalk as a man in the office was waving at us. On Saturday Stephen and I went to our local M and S to get some ready-made meals. Stephen was getting funny looks I looked at his jacket and he had a big blue sticker on with Cunard 9 I don’t think a coach would visit Accrington. He very quickly removed it. Great trip cant wait for the next one all I have to do is loose the weight I put on blamed it on the weather it was to rocky to walk about and the ice cream is just so good.

:D :D :D Is the ice cream on QE2....."free, anytime" ice cream :?: If it is, OH MY  :D I wonder if they get a lot of stalkees at the Akker Brygge cam :?: Its a perfect place :D The ice cream is free in the pavilion (one deck aft), but only between 12 and 5pm. It is very good :D. I don't know if they get a lot of people on the bridge, but we got some very strange looks from someone in the office. Then he told a few other people who all came over to the window to have a look at the funny people on the bridge

I hope you waved :D :D   and pointed at the cam :D

Lancashirelad- 12-16-2007

 Yes we waved, but they did not wave back. I have just found this video of QE2 leaving Rotterdam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cwIFgL2tcM&feature=related

We spent ages trying to work out where the cam may have been placed, I think the people in the office are used to seeing people on the bridge and yes we did wave back :)

Rough sea, trays on the floor before they fall, missed port and lots of rock and roll! I’m glad I wasn’t on that cruise! Missed port in the Caribbean is bad, on the Atlantic/North Sea would be more than my stomach could handle; come to think of it it’s not doing to well just writing about it. All kidding aside, sounds like you had the usual good time and all the more to miss your beloved ship. She’ll be a tough act to follow! The pictures were great and the Christmas Trees stood in their proper place reminding all that Christmas was around the bend. The video was a nice addition and the horn provided entertainment for the few laughing on it. Stephen, thanks for sharing your adventure.

Alan, great review and pictures! Thought to lend you a hand by rotating your photo! Much better!!! (How was the cosmo?) It’s a good thing the “buxom lady “ didn’t see how dashing you looked in your new waistcoat! Brugge with its architect and the company of a lady from the QE2 to drink the day away leaves me wondering which view was better. I’m sure the view wasn’t as nice before the drinking but after the beer and coffee liqueur the view was splendid! Sounds like you all became fast friends and all enjoyed a grand time.

Great trip cant wait for the next one all I have to do is loose the weight I put on blamed it on the weather it was to rocky to walk about and the ice cream is just so good. Jean, you look lovely in the photos! The ice cream didn't have a chance to add additional calories because of the cold walks to and from the ports now the cosmos could be a different story ;-)

We all had a great time Maria, even with the rough sea and missed port. Missing a port gave us more time on the ship

alanm- 12-17-2007

We all had a great time Maria, even with the rough sea and missed port. Missing a port gave us more time on the ship  Not a bad trade off! Did you end up having more cosmos? They look good! How did they taste?
