That's because there is an steam-, and old ships-gathering here this weekend, that also includes old firetrucks, cars and buses.. :D

Yes, we got back from our basic tour to find all the old steam-boats in port, plus the fire engines. I went out and walked around, taking lots of pictures, It ws a real festival, with booths, lots of locals out for the Saturday. Weather was dry but mostly overcast, a litle sun at times. I saw signs on a number of boats about excursions, one including QE2, and it didn't occur to me until I was back on board that those boats were going to send us off! And what a job they did, including that wonderful fireboat. There must have been 300-400 little boats. One old ferry had a brass band on the upper level. Some kept honking their homes...a few pretty ludicrous...trying to get us to sound ours. Perky did, three times. Even green Sandnes was out pacing us. I froze my hands off, but was right up front, taking tons of pictures! CJ
How wonderful to be in port for such an exciting day.
