Fire on s.s. Rotterdam - - - again :-(
On Wednesday 25 June, around 06.00 pm, a fire broke out on the s.s.
Rotterdam in Wilhelmshaven.
It happened in a space above the engineroom. During welding, packaging
materials got on fire as wel as insulation materials, which produced a lot
of smoke.
With 150 firemen at the job, the fire was under control at 07.30 pm and put out completely around 09.30 pm.
The manager of De Rotterdam BV does not think that the return to Rotterdam at the beginning of August will be delayed.

How awful! :shock: Seems like it has been one thing after another for poor Rotterdam. I hope all is well in the end and she makes it back to her home as scheduled. :)
