And at least they know that they are having problems :D

redqueen- 01-15-2007

WOW 8) 8) :D Thank you :!:

aurora- 01-15-2007

Makes us wish that we were back

jackie- 01-19-2007

Everything now has a ghostly effect. :help:

jackie- 01-20-2007

However daily pic still is inviting. We walked across this beach from caves used for munitions when Portugal entered the war in 1944.

Manuela- 01-20-2007

Jackie, you must have gotten bad information from your tourist guide. Portugal did fight in WWl, but remained neutral during World War ll.

jackie- 01-20-2007

Manuela, There is a plaque in recently restored caves which give access to Praia Formosa, which states that Portugal entered the war in 1944. I just wish I had taken a photo of it! Here are the caves before renovation.

The closest we came to it was allowing the U.S. to use a military base in the Azores. My father was in the army in Madeira until 1951. It must have been "just in case" preparations.

Only way to see Cruise ship in the harbour at the moment is the 'Daily Picture.' Web cam still down.

jackie- 01-25-2007

May be having problems, but at least the ghost has gone. And an MSC ship is due in Funchal today- is this Musica?

redqueen- 01-25-2007

It sure looks like her.

jackie- 01-25-2007

They must be using photos, like they do for 'photo of the day.'

jackie- 01-26-2007

Photo of the day. View over Funchal, weather fine but cooler 59F.

jackie- 01-29-2007

Cam still down, but at least the Daily Pic more than makes up for it.

THAT is GREAT :D Wish they would fix the cam, though
