"Built with steel by the shipyard of Dubigeon in Chantenay in 1896, for use in the cocoa trade. In 1913, the Duke of Westminster bought her for use as a yacht. In 1923, she was sold to Sir A.E. Guinness, who renamed her Fantome II. After many years of successful navigation, she was purchased in January 1980 by the Paris based "Fondation Belem"."

"Last voyage" :?: It's not even her last visit. That's scheduled for the 3rd of October.

:whoops: Let's not RUSH IT :!: :!: :!:
It had better not be her last voyage :!:
   Sounds like a movie :D And it WAS, with Robert Stack and Dorothy Malone.
Isle de France, the same ship that rescued many of the Andrea Doria survivors, was used as a real floating prop in that movie :D Andrew Stone, the director, partially sank her for the movie.
Then, she went to a scrap yard in Japan. BETTER, had they completely sunk her :!: :!:
Came across a blog with more pics of her last call at Funchal..........
