Jackie, that was a selling point for me along with a good price. :)
Is it a re-positioning cruise ?
They always seem to have the best bargains.
Yes, it is. I think it is for Statendam's last season in Australia/New Zealand.
Redqueen
that is a super itinerary. You will have a ball and after the cruise you will be so relaxed the flight will be a doddle!
There are some photos of some of your ports on our website
www.thebloors.photosite.com from our last cruise and tour of NZ. Just to get you even more excited!
Thank you Jo, I viewed your photos earlier, but just did a review with Charles, he is even more ready to go. So much to see! I am having some thoughts of staying on after the cruise for a few days. :D :D
That sounds a great cruise Lena :) I am sure you will love it.

Great idea
If you have the time it would be such a shame not to see more whilst you are there.
Yes, it is. I think it is for Statendam's last season in Australia/New Zealand.
The following season HAL are sending Volendam "down under".
Lena did get a good price...

Is that tug going to push her all the way?? CJ
You betcha !
That is why it takes so many sea days.

So long as we get there it will feel like

Lena....great itinerary BUT   you aren't coming on to Sydney....so near, boo hoo!
I missed seeing Jo & Albert as their cruise finished in Auckland too....what a shame I'll miss you and Charles too :x
You could always fit in a trip to NZ Robyn!!
Robyn..........We have not completely ruled out a little land trip to Australia or continuing on to Sydney on the ship. I will have to see what our TA can arrange. If not this trip, then, I think it will have to be combined with our plans for Asia.
Bit the Bullet - No willpower
Well, with everything else that we are doing this year, we had not really
planned a cruise but -
an offer that was too good to refuse came along so here we go:
Sapphire Princess - Los Angeles to Vancouver
Los Angeles May 15 1600
At Sea May 16
At Sea May 17
Victoria May 18 0800-1700
Vancouver May 19 0730
Since we live near Victoria, we may disembark there ( after free lunch,
of course) if Princess OK's it. Otherwise, will go on to Vancouver and
take the ferry back home.
This gives us a chance to try another cruise line for comparison, as we
hope to do something a bit longer in 2008. Right now, it is a tug0of-war
between Cape Horn/Antarctica and Transpacific repositioning from NZ.
