Schedules...
Schedules...Doesn't anyone keep to them any more? Well, I suppose van Gogh does...I pulled up Canal Cup to check the map to see if maybe by any chance Silver Cloud was early into the locks...And there is a ship just about to come under the bridge from the east...It is van Gogh...who I had crossed off because of her financial woes...right on time. but I also see Royal Princess in the Kiel locks...whose cams haven't updated in two days...three hours early......and Kristina Regina about an hour out of the Brunsb. locks. She was not on my schedule at all. Drat.

Kristina Regina leaves the locks at Brunsbeuttel:

Silver Cloud just about on time: Not a very nice day for a transit. CJ

Carolyn Jane- 06-27-2008

Silver Cloud took her time reaching the cams...six hours... At least, the weather is dryer...CJ

:?: :?: Really confused about Van Gogh. I thought she was supposed to start sailing out of St. Petersburg on June 24 :?:

Carolyn Jane- 06-27-2008

The Kiel Canal schedule has her sailing from St. Pete to Amsterdam... And here is Royal Princess leaving the canal...She was in the lock forever (I couldn't see her, but nothing was happening and canal Cup AIS said she was in the lock) and then I saw some people walking around, so I think they may have done a little shore excursion... And while I was waiting, this yacht exited the other lock:

i think its Pelorus I saw her in Helsinki

I am sure you are right, Kristen :D :D   Too bad she is so inexpensive   Can you imagine what her fuel bill must be   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelorus_(yacht)

Discovery: And waiting (patiently?) for her to pass, was Europa:

WOO HOO HOO!!! They have added another cam at Rendsburg...It has to be mounted on the bridge, looking west...It took a while for it to start updating for me, but it looks great! It's at the same link as the bridge, but you can click on each and get them separate...CJ

:D :D :D :D WHOOPIE :!: :!:   I saw on the schedule that Mona Lisa is due to go through, but not til late tonight :?: There is also another cam in the town of Rendsburg, with the link on the Kiel Kanal Live page http://www.rendsburg-cam.de/

What a surprise! Yes, it´s a view in the direction of the ships, coming from the “live cam” at Nübbel. BTW: on the right side of the picture, you can imagine another attraction of Rendsburg Once the longest bench of the world with 501 meters. ( in the meantime there is another one with 600 m.) I saw it when we spent our holidays there . First you don´t recognize it but after some time you see, this bench is endless. And if they had 5 cruiseships in a row, which never happens, there would always be a seat at Rendsburg. Back home, I found it on the search machine .
