Lifeboat Lunch
I know this is not really the right place for this, but "the boss" has told me I can put it here.
We went to Fleetwood on Sunday to a lunch to raise money for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute). The meal was quite good, Soup and a bread roll, followed by Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and Apple pie to finish.
The speaker gave an interesting talk on the workings of Fleetwood Lifeboat Station. As if by design, the Lifeboat was launched to rescue a boat that was stuck on a sandbank.
Slight problem with the apples pies, the wheel came off the trolly and the pies hit the deck. So for some apple pie became apple crumble.
You missed a nice afternoon keith, pitty you were not there, would have been nice to meet you.

Well, "Stephen", my Lifeboat Bear, was there is spirit :D :D

Now that is a challenge. Stephen needs an Avatar that puts him in a Bear Costume.
I said BEAR people. Stop laughing.

Gosh, I think I am in love.

Always amazes me that we have Lifeboat associations in the land locked areas of UK.
Glad you had a good time.

That sounds like an interesting meal! Did the fundraising go well?

Sounds great, Being and ex sailor and now an avid cruiser I always donate to the Lifeboat Association
Liz, thanks for that, I love it. :)
Great picture Liz. Sorry don't know how much money was raised, but hopefully they raised quite a lot of money.
Jean, sounds like you had a good meal and were entertained with the fly by apple pies. Sorry if you didn’t have a chance to have some before they hit the floor
