Well, starting to think about packing.......at least as to what I will need. Two carry-ons still OK for Manchester Airport :?: Think I should buy a small soft carry-on bag. Will plan to bring that and my larger hard over-night case with me on my post-cruise sojurn....and leave the other two :shock: big bags at Heathrow.....to pick up on my way home

OK for 2 carry on bags at Manchester Airport now Liz as far as I know. Isn't it approaching quickly :lol:

Just checked Manchester Airport website which says that still only ONE piece of handluggage - sorry Liz

Not to worry the website is out of date! I think the one you got to via Google is not Manchester Airport's own site it is Manchester Airport Guide and the rules changed 7th January this year http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf/Content/bagrule just in time for our flight out to S America! You can now take one carry on bag and a handbag. I have recently been out and bought a LARGE handbag for travelling! :lol: :lol:

I took 2 bags from Manchester; but it does depend on your airline as to weight restriction, which I did know about before we left- 5kg. But when we got to the airport, there was a notice which informed us that Singapore airlines allowed 7kg. At no time were we even asked to show our bags.

This is what I am pulling up from British Airways. Nothing about individual bag weight......just total. Lucky, cause just weighed my overnight case and it is 9 pounds empty :shock: The hand bag :roll: will be soft canvas and very, VERY LARGE :!: :!: :twisted:

An 'Invincible' bag, Liz :?: :mrgreen: Holds a lot of 'stuff', and would make an excellent 'handbag' :wink:

You just need to get the tape measure out Liz. BTW my Invincible bag was packed to the max! :roll: :roll: It held an amazing amount.

I think Mr. and Mrs. Wolfgang should have joined us for this trip. Too bad the sailing is now sold out.
