Terry,
Thanks for the update. Now I know I'm not sending faulty files and links. I guess the experiment worked out
Regards,
John
The Version we have has the Google up date.
I cannot find 'About Internet Explorer' in the Help section .
Now this morning we have had an e-mail inviting us to buy 'Windows Vista' from e- buyer, for £ 59.99.
In the top left of your web browser you have FILE-EDIT-VIEW--FAVORITES-TOOLS-HELP
Left click HELP and a drop down menu shoud have About Internet Explorer
Then Left click About Internet Explorer and a dialogue box will have the version info of IE that you have.
Regards,
John
Worked fine for me - I was asked if I wanted to save it, which I did - and there was Splendour!!!! :D
I have Windows XE with IE.6 and the free Google Earth. Like Liz, I have Firefox, but have recently stopped using it and gone back to IE.
Thanks for all the info...now, just HOW am I going to keep Liz off the AIS when she is supposed to be seeing Australia in a couple of weeks  :P
Robyn and Jackie,
Thanks for the feedback that IE.6 works fine with AIS/Google Earth Images
from my web server files.
I'll keep the group posted when additional cruise ships arrive and depart the Galveston Cruise Terminal.
Robyn, there are a few enthusiasts on the Shipplotter group that bring a laptop and the small AIS receiver along on their cruise. That way you can just kick back and also enjoy all the vessel traffic around you. Almost like you are up in the wheelhouse actually driving the boat.
Regards,
John
Well, WILL have the laptop, but no AIS receiver :D :D
Well you are almost there. A SR-161 rAIS eceiver is less than $200. Maybe the next cruise you'll be all set-up.
Regards,
John
