I repeat, I had a lovely time on Dawn :?:
I've cruised NCL three times, twice on the Crown and years ago pre-Freestyle on the Sunward II. I had a great cabin on the Crown! Food and service were great! Our 2nd trip on Crown was Freestyle which I did not like. That is my only complaint with NCL. But, as I have said on the forum before, the Crown is an older ship and was really not set up for Freestyle so that was part of the problem! :D
Thanks,
Their new ships are just beautiful and it is hard for me to imagine that the cruiseline could be as bad as some say.
Maybe we will be in the same port with one on this next cruise and we can get a good look. :)
They do have some good prices.
I just book a party on the NCL Dawn, should i be nervous? I have another going on jewel soon.
Kimi,
I don't think you should be nervous, we know our members and their tastes...they say NCL was fine.
The reviews I read...I have no way of knowing what the people are really like or what their idea of a good cruise would be.
That is why I questioned....their ships seem lovely and prices can be very good.
I imagine it is like all cruises...some people do not have a good time or have bad luck with something.
Go with a positive attitude and you usually have a good time. :D
Looks like a gorgeous day in Sydney! I would love to be on that yacht right now! :D

So would I Terry....it is so hot & humid, even at 6pm now - there'd be a lovely breeze on the Harbour :D
Thanks so much. Our friends are on Statendam and I only seem to look when it is dark.
Not sure about cams at Napier? :?:

Our experiences on NCL have been good to great. We have cruised on NCL 3 times in the last 3 years..first two on the Dawn and the third on the Spirit. We don't have anything to compare it to and are presently looking for a cruise at Christmas 2007. I have been looking and looking at other cruiselines and want to try something different but, I keep on coming back to NCL...the answer may be back to back 5 day cruises out of Miami, 1 on NCL and the other on RCCL, CCL, or Celeb...decisions decisions.. 8) . We found the Dawn to be a great ship with a great staff and a good price. We like the freestyle thing because of the freedom it gives you in planning your day with a family and all the different directions we go.When we were on the Spirit a few months ago it wasn't as good as our experience on the Dawn but still a good cruise. The Spirit was originally built for the Asian market and everything is smaller and lower to the ground..(windshields,chairs,everything!!. The size of the ship may have had something to do with the stability of the ride also :?: Their was a rather large group of Asian pass. on the cruise who were extremely rude and obnoxious but, I won't let anything or anyone get in my way of having a good time. :P I think if you are going to cruise on NCL you should pick a ship that has been built since 2002 that has been built with freestyle in mind..just my opinion.. :)
