Jo, I never knew it was nicknamed Paddys Wigwam although can see why! Have often thought about going to one of the RLPO concerts but never made it - yet! Have seen a couple of musicals at the Adelphi? in Liverpool.

Red letter day for QE2's visit RED ALERT: The Red Arrows display team may be coming to Greenock. THE Red Arrows and the Royal Marines are set to invade Greenock. They are being lined up to be the stars of a massive day of celebration planned for the QE2’s visit in September. Inverclyde Council will now spend £40,000 readying the town for a visual feast featuring the marines and the popular air display team. http://www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/article.php?sec=news&id=8925

Any news on events in Liverpool for the official opening of the cruise ship dock? After Red Arrows in Greenock you must expect Royalty to see you in Liverpool

Lancashirelad- 07-10-2007

They still have to move the dock into place, which should have been done about 2 weeks ago. The weather has been too bad to move the sections from where they are being built.

Is there a cam for Greenock?

Lancashirelad- 08-03-2007

I have not been able to find one :( but I did not know about the one on the Tyne until a few days ago.

Found this link for Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries which has another link to what purports to be a Greenock cam. But there are lots of other great cams for their small Scottish ferry ports http://www.shipsofcalmac.co.uk/links.asp

great fine Joanne :) Camd does not seem to be working right now, but will keep checking it.
