From the Rotterdam site -- The night is good lapse despite very violent showers. Meanwhile is the dry and presses the sun behind the clouds. The ship sails now to height of Terschelling. Sounds like they had a good night despite the showers! 8)

Willem- 08-03-2008

Yes, I found that a little later. Present position according to De Rotterdam BV, http://www.derotterdam.com is near the island Vlieland.

I can't find either Spirit or Magic on Vessel Tracker :?: and yes, I am logged in  :!:  And if they are south of Vlieland, they should be showing live on VTS.....but not there either :?: :?: Unless they are too far out to sea to be in range When do you board Bernisse, Willem :?:

According to the report by De Rotterdam BV, they are now west of Den Helder. I have put a map on my website showing the route they are taking. They expect to be at Scheveningen Mondaymorning at 09.00 am. By than I am already in Rotterdam and we expect to depart from Heyplaat (Hey, that's where the Rotterdam was built) around noon to meet the ships at sea. Late Tuesday I can report and possible show some pictures, as an English friend is now staying with us and we will stay overnight (Monday/Tuesday) in Rotterdam to take pictures from the Euromast and to visit the Maritime Museum. I hope I can get some sleep tonight

From the Rotterdam site: With thanks at the zeeslepers, the ss Rotterdam sails beautifully on schedule. Present they are in the neighborhood of The Clear. The again is still rainy. Tomorrow morning the ss Rotterdam will be around 09.00 hour to height of Scheveningen. Unfortunately is not the ship from the beach visibly, because she sails too far from the coast. The very first point which the ship in view comes, is by Corner of Holland.
