The s.s. OCEANIC is still sailing for Pulmantur.
This year and last year I made an 8-day cruise out of Barcelona.
Photo-albums of those cruises can be accessed via my website.
I sailed on her in 1989 to the Bahamas. She still belonged to Premier and she was painted Bright Red. I was happy to see her in the Pulmantur fleet, although I think they will retire her soon.
Lena
I sailed on her from New York to Bermuda in probably 1967 or 68.
Bite your tongue about retiring her
Willem, think I have seen your pictures before :?: but must now go and look at them again :D :D
Tongue is now bleeding profusely and I am flogging myself   Idid read recently that Pullmantur would probably retire her when they get a newbuild. Don't remember where I read it.
Lena
Now she is looking good 8) :D
She was in Barcelona when I was there in 2005. They appeared to be doing some work on her then.

My first two cruises were on the Home Lines Homeric, in August and November 1972, New York to the Caribbean, 10 days for $350 (pretty much steerage.). I acquired a boyfriend in the crew (and nearly married him...), thus the second cruise, AND two cruises the next year on Oceanic, New York to Nassau. THOSE were the days...when cruise ships looked like ships...CJ
