I will try to get some photos of the cemitery in Halifax where many of these who lost their lives are buried. Unfortunately, I will not have time to get any pictures of the monuments in Southampton. If anyone else gets chance it would be nice to have photos of thos on here as well. Where in Halifax?( presumably you mean Halifax West Yorkshire, or does the QE2 go to Nova Scotia Lancashirelad)

Do you think that peolple these days would pay for a memorial like that.Sad I know but thats the way of the world.

Lancashirelad- 08-05-2006

Keith, sorry to say but I doubt very much that they would, even though I am sure they are much better off now then they were then. Sorry Jackie, I was talking about Halifax Nova Scotia, not West Yorkshire. QE2 is calling at Halifax Nova Scotia (birth place of Sir Samual Cunard) when I am on her in September.

Ive heard rumours that they are wanting/going to build another "titanic". Does anyone know any truth to this or any information? I heard that someone was trying to build a Hotel/Casino named Titanic in Las Vegas, but I don't know at the moment what is the status of that....

djvictor, There was a Titanic exhibit in Las Vegas..... It was at the Rio Hotel.... But not a casino named Titanic.... I never got to see it but they sent me lot's of Vegas emails to come to it........ I don't know if it's still there........

Here are the pictures of the titanic graves in Halifax Nova Scotia

How sad. But they did give them proper headstones that have lasted. In some of the cemeteries the headstones are of such poor quality stone that they fall apart quite rapidly.

Its also nice to see them clean and tidy unlike some of our graveyards.

Can this be true :?: :?: :?: Have been watching the National Dog Show on TV, and when the Newfoundland was being shown, they mentioned that a Newfie had survived the sinking of the Titanic :?: :?: :?: Some googling found me this???
