Two Queens on the Atlantic
I have just been watching QE2 as she is about to leave Southampton for New York, and just had a thought. QM2 is on her way from New York to Southampton.
The question is will they pass close enough to see each other?
Also is the first time since the old Queens that two Cunard ships have passed during a transatlantic?
The real question is Are they confrontational ?
An "Old Queen" meets a "New Queen" in the middle of the Ocean ?
Could be a problem ! :D

P. S. Sorry, the devil made me do it ! :P:
She is off to the meeting

About as close as I am going to get !
Well spotted Alan and love the photo of QE2 leaving Southampton.
Yes I think this is the first time QM2 and QE2 have passed on a transatlantic. Not sure if it's the first time since the old queens, but would not surprise me if it was. Odd that Cunard have not made a big fuss about it. I would have thought they would have said something.
Stephen, I know she is "your ship" so thought you would know and would like the picture :)
Just read a post on CC maybe I should not admit to that, but QE2 and QM2 will not pass, as there is a low in the atlantic, QM2 has gone north of it, and QE2 is going south of it. :( The first time the could pass at sea, and the weather gets in the way. :(
What a shame, wonder if it will happen again? With better weather :o
QE2 does not do many transatlantics so not much chance, but lets hope it does happen again.
Look on the bright side,......at least they won't hit each other

There's good news and there's bad news.
