Veendam Alaska Review - July 11 - 25 2008
I have now posted my review along with over 100+ photos on the Seacruise site. Be warned this is the longest review I have ever written at 12 pages. Phil

As you say Phil, long but interesting. It was 5 years since we were in Juneau- Saxman village, Skagway-White Horse Pass & the Hubbard Glacier. It brought back memories. Thankyou.

Great review, Phil! I had no idea you were into geocaching! We did some on our 2006 Western Caribbean cruise with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who are avid geocachers. What fun! Pictures look awesome - will go back later when I have more time to take a closer look. I must do Alaska one day! :D

Chris started the road Geocaching two years ago when he was here. I didn't start till this past spring when I did my road trip to California. I am a Type 2 Diabetic and had been controlling it through diet till recently. I really needed a motive to get me out to do some serious walking/hiking. This happened in California and once I arrived home. It also caused me to walk just under 9 miles in Skagway. If you have ever been to Skagway you will wonder how one can do that. In Skagway I learnt a lot about Skagway and the virtual caches there. It has gotten me off the ship doing something and exploring rather than shopping and staying with the "flock". I am glad you liked the review and Thanks. I should add so far since April I have found 121 Geocaches. Phil

Phil. Great tour. Enjoyed it very much and look forward to our land sea cruise next year. Thanks for the guide and the photos.

Great review Phil! Enjoyed it very much. Haven't been on an Alaskan Cruise since 1993. I agree with you that the brands of ships are morphing into one - especially those owned by one company.
