Who from Arcadia in Madeira today? Being a native of Madeira, I happen to know this one. It is Lobo Marinho, the ferry that goes daily to Porto Santo, a neighbouring island with sandy beaches, where the locals vacation. It is a two-hour trip.

We had a great day out with a local taxi driver, Ricardo da Costa. His English was excellent and he was SO proud of his homeland.

Years ago there was a lot of emigration, but not anymore. People seem to be happy to live there. A few of my relatives who had left have returned.

Ok, does anyone know who this ship is? The photo is taken from the Coral Princess today, 05/12/07 while anchored in Cabo San Lucas.... Doesn't ring a bell at all for me.......
